"This [other] stuff's made in…New York City?!" "NEW YORK CITY??!!"
[edit]During the 1990s, Pace aired commercials highlighting the main vegetable ingredients for Pace Picante salsa, as well as its origins in San Antonio, Texas, contrasting it to a fictional leading brand supposedly made in New York City, a place not known for producing quality salsa. The poor schmuck who brought in the other salsa was usually subject to ridicule or other forms of punishment: getting tied up by a rope and placed on the back of a pickup truck was one of them. These commercials were popular and well known for their humor.
