Should this article really be in the Category and Template "Law schools in New York City?" Note that I added it to the Category after I saw it in the Template for consistency until this matter is resolved.
- Not NYC, thanks for noticing it. - CrazyRussian talk/email 00:03, 21 August 2006 (UTC)
Fair use rationale for Image:Classroom Building.png
Image:Classroom Building.png is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in Wikipedia articles constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images uploaded after 4 May, 2006, and lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been uploaded, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 18:35, 2 June 2007 (UTC)

- Oppose –Who besides environmentalists know who Elizabeth Haub is? Whose is going to know what or where the Elisabeth Haub School of Law is, Belgium? Germany? The gesture highlights Pace's speciality in environmental law, but there are also other programs such as international law. I've no doubt the family must have donated a ton of money to the school, for this honorary title, just as the Dyson College of Arts and Sciences, or the Lubin School of Business, but "in the real world" people will continue to call it Pace Law School. The result of the move request was: No consensus. Prior to being relisted, there was little discussion and after the relisting, there was no new contributions. There was also a very recent discussion on the same topic that was closed with "no consensus" after being relisted and only received 1 oppose vote. I'm going to close this as no consensus for the time being. (non-admin closure). Anarchyte (work | talk) 07:43, 4 July 2016 (UTC)

- This was the subject of an RM just last month that ended no consensus. Considering you were a part of that discussion, Fayerman, I'm not sure why you think this would now be uncontroversial. Jenks24 (talk) 20:03, 15 June 2016 (UTC)

@Anthony Appleyard: Again, the ping function does not work when you use it like this. I never get pings from you when you're starting RMs from RM/TR. Jenks24 (talk) 11:50, 16 June 2016 (UTC)
- There should be a bug report filed on this, if you can identify a pattern. It seems random to me; sometimes pings work and sometimes they don't. Maybe I'll run some tests. Ping one of my bots and see if I can identify a pattern. I suppose first check for open bug reports. wbm1058 (talk) 17:39, 21 June 2016 (UTC)
- Comment. The naming convention for some similar cases:
- Maurice A. Deane School of Law (Hofstra University) – The school was renamed to the Maurice A. Deane School of Law at Hofstra University in September 2011.
- Temple University Beasley School of Law – In 1999, in recognition of a major endowment gift by James E. Beasley, Sr., a Temple Law graduate and distinguished Philadelphia lawyer, the Temple University Board of Trustees changed the official name of the school to the James E. Beasley School of Law of Temple University.
- Antonin Scalia Law School – On March 31, 2016, the Board of Visitors approved renaming the school after the late United States Supreme Court justice Antonin Scalia. The name change followed gifts of $20 million from an anonymous donor and an additional $10 million from the Charles Koch Foundation conditioned on the renaming, and was announced as requiring approval by the State Council of Higher Education for Virginia.
