Chapter 6 of book 3 titled "Yokohama, July 1974" contains quite a few scenes of hetero- and homosexual people having intercourse openly, although somewhat hidden in a park in Yokohama. Speaking of possible (time?) inconsistencies, in chapter 19 of book 3, titled "Tokyo, 1989", it is said about Solomon "He was supposed to run through some projections for the golf club project, but it was as if he had forgotten how to use Excel.". According to Excel, Excel was in Version 2.0 on Microsoft Windows and in Version 2.2 on Apple Computers. "Excel" was not yet an household name and if anything, the sentence shows what advanced software was used by expats in that british bank in Tokyo ... Thg (talk) 07:26, 27 June 2022 (UTC)[reply]

  • Concerning „article talk pages exist solely to discuss how to improve articles; they are not for general discussion about the subject of the article“ of WP:NOTFORUM, I would think it might improve the article in a section „Trivia“ or so, if it would show that parts of the novel might have been written from the perspective more of 2017 than of 1989 when - after considering the result of this talk - Excel was not a household name. For the other topic that was deleted too, the open park scenario, I can‘t speak. But it is not a matter for deleting the talk … Thg (talk) 17:51, 16 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]
