Natural branding
Perhaps natural branding can be mentioned, in which a brand is placed on the skin of fruit or vegetables ? This is done by removing pigment in a zone on the skin. See http://hoholok.com/stamp-makes-plastic-around-organic-fruit-and-vegetables-unnecessary/ In some cases (where the fruit/vegetables doesn't really need to be preserved longer via ULO packaging, ...) it may make packaging unnecessary.
