Listing of the “Phrygian Dominant Scale” under “Composition”
[edit]This is not necessarily correct - the bassline DOES use the flat 2nd scale degree, but it isn't a significant part of the harmony (one of the key identifiers to describing the scale that a song would use). Kylie herself also always sings the unaltered 2nd scale degree, which would make this Mixolydian flat 6, as opposed to Phrygian Dominant.
Also, hooktheory should not be used as a source as 1) it is a self-described songwriting website, not a source of information and 2) anyone can upload any information to it, correct or incorrect. A google search yields multiple uploads of this song alone from different users. Bipolarcomposer (talk) 01:15, 4 July 2023 (UTC)
- I totally agree. In addition it seems that hooktheory does not offer the possibility to label a song as "mixolydian flat 6". So all songs that are mixolydian with flat 6 have to be labeled wrong at hooktheory. 185.103.225.11 (talk) 07:45, 24 September 2023 (UTC)
#1 on USA hot dance
[edit]I'm not sure how to add but here are two news sources:
-https://www.billboard.com/pro/kylie-minogue-padam-padam-number-1-dance-mix-show-airplay-chart/ -https://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-12371749/amp/Theres-no-stopping-Kylie-Minogue-celebrates-smash-hit-song-Padam-Padam-reaching-No-1-Billboards-Dance-Mix-Airplay-Chart-announcing-Las-Vegas-residency.html
I tried to verify, but Billboard now wants subscriptions. Molokaicreeper (talk) 06:22, 5 August 2023 (UTC)
Eastern European sound
[edit]I honestly cannot understand that ‘Eastern European sound’. Seeing the video, it looks and sounds more like K-pop. Can anyone clarify this? 2001:1C04:4E0C:2500:97A:1A8:B903:25A7 (talk) 02:45, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
- Yes, we can clarify it. The information is sourced and mentioned by a reviewer from the OCC. Simple as that. — Tom(T2ME) 08:17, 2 November 2023 (UTC)
