do any of you people actually know where outdoor, single wall paddleball originated? I'll bet no one here knows

Scoring

[edit]

I played Paddleball in NYC parks for ten years and not once did anyone use "tennis" scoring. normally the games went to 15 or 21. the serving team scores a point if they win the rally. If they lose, the serve goes to the opponent. 68.99.137.77 (talk) 05:22, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Equipment

[edit]

Howie Hammer, who was the King of Paddleball, had a signature paddle. It was made of wood, as were all paddles I ever saw, not plastic as stated erroneously in the description. The only balls I ever saw it played with were the blue Spalding ball, or the hard black handball. I played in NYC for over ten years. 68.99.137.77 (talk) 05:28, 11 March 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Proposed Merger

[edit]

This article should be merged with One wall paddleball and/or Four wall paddleball as this article seems to be trying to define the sport as one or the other. BajaChikn (talk) 17:48, 1 November 2023 (UTC)[reply]
