Stereotypes[edit]

This article is (like the TV programme 'When Paddy met Sally') perpetuating the usual stereotypes about Irish travellers. Its content is minimal and needs fleshing out considerably. Otherwise, like in the TV programmes this person has appeared in, the wider community will be left with the erroneous impression that all Irish travellers are illiterate yet somehow able to possess driving licences and pass driving tests, live in relatively wealthy accommodation with brand new cars without any visible means of income and finally that they are sexist chauvinist Neanderthals when in fact they are clearly a misunderstood oppressed and bullied ethnic minority. This will not do. There is far more to this man and his people than meets the eye and this article is in dire need of expansion – after all he did have a life before fame struck him in 2010! 1812ahill (talk) 01:45, 11 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

BFGW Criticisms[edit]

The claim that Paddy Doherty was 'only one of twelve Travellers' to criticise Big Fat Gypsy Weddings is not accurate, and neither is there anything to support that claim in the citation provided. I've removed it.[[Xamurrochokas (talk) 13:16, 18 November 2012 (UTC)]][reply]
