Semi-protected edit request on 4 January 2021

[edit]

Respected sir/madam I am here to edit the Wikipedia page of Pakistan National Cricket Team. There is written that Pakistan have won each of the ICC Trophy. It's completely wrong. You can yourself check that on the official website of International Cricket Council or Pakistan Cricket Board. RIDHVAN SHARMA (talk) 11:31, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate.  Ganbaruby! (Say hi!) 11:45, 4 January 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Hi, you need to change the date of Pakistan test ranking being number 1 in 1988. The page that your editors cited itself is talking about instance of 2016. It just mentions 1988 as last time before 2016 Pakistan was number one in tests. So, please write the most recent date there. Thanks. 2001:2003:F6AF:4800:2822:4FDE:5B92:4F70 (talk) 22:24, 20 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done: it's not clear what changes you want to be made. Please mention the specific changes in a "change X to Y" format and provide a reliable source if appropriate. Please tell A) exactly what needs to be changed and B) how exactly you want it changed. I'm having difficulty parsing the B) part of your statement. Above Babar Azam's name in the current squad, please change it to "Test, ODI and T20I Captain; Middle-Order Batsman" 60.254.8.41 (talk) 07:25, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Not done for now: please establish a consensus for this alteration before using the {{edit semi-protected}} template. It doesn't look like anyone else has similar descriptions above their name. ScottishFinnishRadish (talk) 10:54, 17 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]

Do we really need a section under History for almost every tournament?

[edit]

So, do we? It's just taking up unnecessary space on the page, why not just club the performances in the different ICC tournaments by decade for example? A Fantasy (talk) 02:15, 28 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]

RE: Request to edit 'Current Squad' section

[edit]

AnonymousCricketFan057 (talk) 15:24, 10 March 2022 (UTC)Dear Respected Sir/Madam,[reply]

There appears to be many mistakes and factual inconsistencies in the 'Current Squad' section of the article. Mistake #1: For Top-order batsman Imam ul-Haq, it says he only plays 'ODI' Format (in Format column) however he has recently played in Pakistan's historic home test series vs Australia Mistake #2: Same for Abdullah Shafique - he also represented Pakistan in tests Mistake #3: Saud Shakeel (Middle Order batsman) is an All-rounder by definition Mistake #4: Hussain Talat (Middle Order batsman) is also an All-rounder Mistake #5: Khushdil Shah (Middle Order batsman) is also an All-rounder Mistake #6: Asif Ali (Middle Order batsman) bowls Right Arm 'Off break' (Not Right Arm Medium) Mistake #7: Mohammad Hafeez (All-rounder) announced his retirement from International cricket on 3rd January 2022 Mistake #8: Mohammad Wasim Jr (All-rounder) bowls Right Arm 'Fast-medium' (Not Right Arm Medium) Mistake #9: Mohammad Hasnain (Bowler) bowls Right Arm 'Fast' (not Right Arm Fast-medium) Mistake #10: Musa Khan (bowler) bowls Right Arm 'Fast-medium' (not 'Legbreak googly')

That is it for now. Thank You very much AnonymousCricketFan057 (talk) 15:24, 10 March 2022 (UTC) TA[reply]

Qwqwer

[edit]

Hi,

There is this user by the name of "Qwqwer" who keeps on reverting the information that I have provided with sources under the 'List of International grounds' section. National Stadium Karachi has hosted a total of 99 international matches including 44 Tests, 48 ODIs and 7 T20Is, but he keeps on changing the number of ODIs to 50 and total matches to 101. Similarly, Rawalpindi Cricket Stadium has hosted a total of 39 matches, including 12 Tests, 24 ODIs and 3 T20Is, but even here he keeps on changing the number of ODIs to 26 and total number of matches to 41. Can something be done about this please as I think this is trolling and an edit war(?) now. Here are the sources that I've used: https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/ground/58956.html?class=1;template=results;type=aggregate & https://stats.espncricinfo.com/ci/engine/ground/59006.html?class=1;template=results;type=aggregate

Thanks A Fantasy (talk) 22:40, 16 March 2022 (UTC)[reply]

The History section doesn't have some tournaments

[edit]

So, the "History" section of the page only goes up to the 2017 Champions Trophy. If every tournament gets its own sub-section, where is the 2019 ICC World Cup and the 2021 ICC World Twenty20? YaRightThereNeymarSunnyInnit (talk) 11:44, 2 August 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Request to change date of NZ test

[edit]

The date of the most recent tests (vs NZ) seems to be incorrect. I request a change from 2-6 January, 2022 to 2-6 January, 2023. Mkbeth (talk) 13:06, 7 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]

Fixed. Thanks for raising it here. HiLo48 (talk) 02:49, 8 January 2023 (UTC)[reply]
