As a member of the International Panorama Council and a longtime panorama researcher, I'm working both to correct minor mistakes in the current iteration of this article, as well as to supplement it with additional accounts of significant panoramas. Section on Romantic response to panoramas[edit]

As to the new section on criticisms of the Panorama by Romantic writers, while I believe this is relevant and should be covered, as currently framed it's a violation of the Wikipedia's policy against Original Research WP:OR. The contributor(s) need to add citations of external, reliable sources to document each significant claim. For my own part, as a panorama historian myself, I would add that there is some recent scholarship, such as this [3] essay, which indicate that Wordsworth's response to the Panorama was not in fact as categorically negative as has been thought before. I am also not aware of responses by other Romantic figures against the Panorama; indeed Keats in his letters praises it as "indescribable" -- so I think we need to be sure this section has a balanced selection of secondary sources to ensure its neutrality. Waterloo Panorama[edit]

The Panorama at Waterloo is housed in a circular building close to the monument. It can be viewed here . Painted by Louis Dumoulin in 1912 it was fully restored in 2008. 22:55, 23 March 2018 (UTC)

Merger discussion[edit]

The article Panorama (art) should be redirected to Panoramic painting, with any pertinent material from the former article merged into the latter. Panorama (art) was created later than Panoramic painting, appears to cover the same topic, and is less developed.—ShelfSkewed Talk 14:28, 15 August 2020 (UTC)[reply]
