Progress

[edit]

Shouldn't this info be included in this article? --Narayan (talk) 22:21, 15 November 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Mk 2

[edit]

Looks like those crazy fellows are doing it again. The project is provisionally titled "LOHAN". Incorporate into existing article or form a new one? link here 92.234.166.31 (talk) 14:41, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I support incorporating this. --Narayan (talk) 15:30, 7 July 2011 (UTC)[reply]
I've added a bit about LOHAN. Mr Larrington (talk) 11:49, 23 August 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Roll into space-flight section of paper airplane

[edit]

Shouldn't this entire page just be rolled into the "Space Flight" section of Paper Airplane? --98.223.57.113 (talk) 01:38, 23 January 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Punning

[edit]

no mention of the deliberate puns on certain celebs names? GraemeLeggett (talk) 09:37, 3 March 2012 (UTC)[reply]

I came here to mention that too. It was really named after Paris Hilton, at whom The Register has frequently poked fun. (She is or was available as a user comment-posting avatar representing bimbo-esque confusion.) 109.157.73.146 (talk) 17:45, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
First named in this post http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/07/31/paris_vehicle_poll/ following the comments section to the previous one (http://forums.theregister.co.uk/forum/1/2009/07/30/reg_space_mission/ ) "Otherwise "Paris", in honour of our favourite globetrotting heroine." and "A backronym? Paper Aeroplane Released Into Space" GraemeLeggett (talk) 19:39, 18 July 2015 (UTC)[reply]
Re the user avatar, Paris isn't intended to represent confusion. There are two related avatars. The first contains just the text "IT?" with a tooltip about why they're not writing about computers, which is their main subject. The second has a picture of Paris Hilton with a questionmark and a tooltip about why they're not writing about Paris Hilton, as a parody of the first. 109.176.227.98 (talk) 17:55, 16 June 2016 (UTC)[reply]
