Is a Junior Synonym
[edit]This genus is currently considered a junior synonym of Phrynops, the species is a junior synonym of Phrynops geoffroanus. Was synonymised in 1986 by Gasparini et al. has been considered a synonym by Mlynarski (1976) also, and in the current checklist. There is a paper in prep that will be resurrecting the species, but its not out yet, the species will remain in Phrynops though. So I dont know wether to leave this be for now or turn it into a redirect to P. geoffroanus for the time being. Cheers Faendalimas talk 22:26, 20 June 2014 (UTC)
