I really want to add an article I read in this blog a follow: http://cineramatrauma.blogspot.com/2009/01/reviw-8-comprehensive-analysis-of.html, as an external link or footnote, but it won't let me and I'm not sure how to.

I keeps saying I'm trying to promote the site or something, but the article above explains some things I think are really interesting about the end of the film, similar to what appears at the bottom of the page for Caché (film).

Can someone please help out? —Preceding unsigned comment added by 216.164.56.29 (talk) 00:53, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Hi there; you need to take a look at Wikipedia's policies on external links; specifically take a look at links normally to be avoided and in there you'll see that blogs or 'personal pieces' are not encyclopaedic enough as links and/or sources. ColdmachineTalk 09:03, 14 January 2009 (UTC)[reply]

MiniDV not 8mm

[edit]

Just wanted to point out, that skateboarding videos usually are not shot on 8mm, as mentioned under "Production". The medium of choice usually is Mini DV, as the most commonly used setup in skateboarding-cinematography is - by far - the Sony VX1000 (VX2000, VX2100) in combination with a Century MK1/MK2 fisheye (not wide angle). Some skatevideos do feature 8mm footage, but rather for stylistic purposes than for portraying skateboarding (i.e. style-shots). —Preceding unsigned comment added by 212.77.178.98 (talk) 15:02, 8 December 2009 (UTC)[reply]
