Marika Moisseeff's paper

[edit]

The supposed quote "an unending combat between humanity and insect-like extraterrestrial species that tend to parasitize human beings in order to reproduce" is not an actual quote from Moisseeff's paper but rather from the abstract. And it was copied and pasted as well from the article Parasitoid, as a quote. The PDF of the paper itself does not contain that exact quote. I only noticed because I'm translating the article to Spanish and I went to look for the quote. So it's a bit misleading. Also, I'm not sure if the author wrote the paper in English or if it was actually published in French, originally. TheTastyWord (talk) 18:48, 19 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

The paper is in English. I've tweaked the paragraph to avoid a direct quotation. This is something of a pity as the abstract is a concise summary, and there must be little doubt that Moisseeff wrote the abstract herself. Chiswick Chap (talk) 08:17, 20 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]
Thanks for your reply. You make a valid point, maybe she did write the abstract herself? I just mentioned it because I got a bit frustrated when trying to find the quote in the actual paper to verify the source and put the correct page number in my reference.
