Hey, Renegade, I understand your point about the coaches, but I think the ordeal with Tracy Crouch and the soccer team needs to be mentioned, as it was a big deal. He had just won the state championship and then was removed from his post.

That's true. I just didn't want too much about the coaches in the athletics section. I'll restore it until someone decides what to do with it. I guess we should address the Coach Flowe issue as well. ListedRenegade 02:56, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I temporarily deleted the bit on the coaches. I probably should have looked at this discussion first, before making the edit, but my reasoning's in the edit summary. I feel that if you are to display the information on the page it does not belong in the athletic success category, because it does not pretain to information relevant to the section. If it is to be contained within the page it needs to be contained within a seperate page, preferably chronicling current events, happenings, and controversies at the school. TheUnionBlood 21:23, 7 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Ok I added, the recent events and controversy page to serve as place for the controversy and information concerning Coach Crouch and Coach Flowe. TheUnionBlood 20:54, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Can someone tell me why the bit on Coach Flowe was deleted? It was done without any reasoning or discussion on the matter. However, I'm not entirely sure if it should stay anyway because the news is about a year old, but so is the news on Coach Crouch. Thoughts? TheUnionBlood 21:44, 16 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

It seems the same person who deleted that bit on the coach was also vandelizing the Brookwood High School article, so I'm willing to say school bias. Moberho 03:47, 17 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]
That's what I assumed as well. I'll add this information back to the article. TheUnionBlood 23:45, 19 April 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Just a note to everyone, whenever you edit the page make sure you do not link a year if it has already been linked somewhere else in the article.TheUnionBlood 20:46, 17 May 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Alright, someone deleted the contents of the "Recent Events and Controversy" section. Ikeep the section deleted and delete the header also, because these event sare no longer that contemporary. However, if anyone wants to delete a section in the future, please discuss this change on the talk page before doing so. TheUnionBlood 00:02, 20 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

wrestling

[edit]

Parkview was also a very good wrestling school, getting second this year in 5A for georgia.

Notable Alumni

[edit]

After witnessing about the 10th rv on alumni in a month I'm starting to wonder if it's even worth it to keep it on the page. It just creates trouble and I highly doubt any admin will care enough to lock the page. Thoughts? Kronermark (talk) 03:57, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

It is worth keeping, but keep in mind that WP:SCH calls for references to verify notability and association with the school. Not all of the current names are readily verifiable in this manner. One thing that might help put off vandals is to add references to all individuals, even the ones which note their graduating from Parkview on their respective article. Improving the reference level of the article in general will tend to raise the bar so to speak. – Zedla (talk) 04:53, 18 February 2008 (UTC)[reply]

Dr. Johnny Benson M.D. deserves to be on this list for his cancer research. Blair Meeks as well as he is an award winning newscaster. Blair earned six regional Emmy awards and was recognized as the “Best Live Reporter” by the Phoenix New Times and the Associated Press. Gannett Broadcasting recognized him three times with a “Best of Gannett” award.—Preceding unsigned comment added by 98.251.125.123 (talk) 14:54, 28 February 2011 (UTC) Don't you know silly rabbit that baseball players are more important to Wiki than cancer researchers? Ugh... —Preceding unsigned[reply]

18th September 2020 - What about Infamous alumni? I guess a school page is only going to want positive alumni listed but surely convicted murderer Stephen McDaniel is a notable Alumni considering his interview was plastered all over Georgia? Page 1 of his Bond Motion Exhibits features a statement from his mother stating he went to this very school. [1]
