Stockland Riverton

[edit]

[1] I don't really care what "Streetsmart/online White P." says, both the owner's website and the signs around the centre say that it's name is "Stockland Riverton". Surely the views of the centre's owner carry more weight than anyone else when trying to decide what the name is?

Normally I'd revert this straight away, but as the editor seems to have ignored my link to an official page that doesn't have the name "Riverton Forum" anywhere on it, I'm commenting here. Brian Jason Drake 04:35, 19 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Unfortunately at this stage the information is unverifiable from reliable sources. If/when the information becomes verifiable from reliable sources, it can be changed and the source clearly marked so that others can verify it for themselves. Also, there are known cases of centre owners changing signage but not changing the official name of the shopping centre, and it reverting back upon a future change of ownership. It should be noted that the White Pages was published in September 2006, and the online White Pages, according to Telstra, was last updated on 4 January 2007. I think most people don't know or care about the official name, and will therefore be confused by the article as it stands. The link is also confusing. Can you provide a link to the White Pages? Brian Jason Drake 11:33, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Not easily (script on their website generates the code). Just go to whitepages.com.au and type Riverton Forum - it brings up Riverton Forum Shopping Centre with full details. They are unlikely to be confused, though, as the name is Riverton Forum in any official sense that can be determined up until whenever it changes. Unless curiosity tourists from Parkwood are looking up their own suburb, and they're likely to know anyway what the deal is. Orderinchaos78 15:33, 20 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Yeah, the way it is now looks good. Orderinchaos78 04:15, 22 January 2007 (UTC)[reply]
