3rd oldest legislature?[edit]

I've edited this claim: "The Parliament of Barbados is both the third oldest legislature: in the Western Hemisphere (behind The Virginia House of Burgesses, and Bermuda House of Assembly), and in the Commonwealth of Nations (behind The House of Commons and Bermuda House of Assembly)." The Commonwealth claim is unsourced and is contradicted by prior claims in Tynwald, States of Jersey, States of Guernsey and States of Alderney. Man vyi (talk) 07:55, 20 July 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I've changed the claim about the Western Hemisphere to refer to the Americas. The claim was contradicted by the claims of the previously noted legislatures as well as by those of the Althing and the Løgting. Man vyi (talk) 12:35, 24 August 2010 (UTC)[reply]

To be added later - Clock tower broken since Tropical Storm Tomas.[edit]

The clock on Parliament Building (manufactured by Smith and Darby in England) was damaged during Tropical Storm Tomas. And now needed to be repaired. Stuck on two CaribDigita (talk) 19:26, 10 January 2011 (UTC)[reply]

History[edit]
