Non-existent "Figure 1" ==

The text in the "Parshall flume chart & table values" section mentions a "Figure 1" several times but it does not actually exist. It may be that the text was directly copied from a source - in which case copyright violation may also be an issue. Either way this needs to be fixed - either by rewriting the text to remove all mentions of non-existent illustrations, or by the addition of such illustrations. If copyright is a problem it needs to be fixed as a priority. Roger (Dodger67) (talk) 19:15, 5 December 2014 (UTC)[reply]

Merger proposal

[edit]

I see that Venturi flume contains a substantial section on the § Parshall flume that would probably be better moved here, leaving only a short description and a {{main}} hatnote.--Theodore Kloba () 19:00, 7 June 2018 (UTC)[reply]

[edit]

There is still the issue noted above with a reference to nonexistent "Figure 1". There was also an issue with the "Free flow E-Y diagram depiction" section referencing the "diagram above" which doesn't exist. I changed it to "an illustration exists" but I'm not sure what to do with this section if that diagram can't be added.

Finally, I think there are 2 versions of the same equation:

  • Q=CHn appears in the beginning of the technical section
  • Q=CHan appears later in the more thorough derivation

I'm guessing these are the same equation and should be standardized, but I don't understand the subject well enough to pursue that cleanup (if needed). Regina Opossum (talk) 03:22, 12 August 2024 (UTC)[reply]
