Accurate membership?

I'm not quite sure if the list of founding members is really correct. According to http://sozialisten.de/sozialisten/el/mitglieder/index.htm the Belgian CP is not a member of the EL, on the other hand the Rifondazione Comunista Sammarinese (CP of San Marino) and the Partei der Arbeit der Schweiz (Party of Labour of Switzerland) are members. Does anyone have an authoritative source confirming this information?

the list on http://euroleft.org/ is authorative as this is the official site Mond 14:46, 5 Jul 2004 (UTC)

Respect

According to this article the U.K's Respect party 'took part' in the second congress of the European Left. Don't know if that makes them observers or not? They are not listed on the website as such.--JK the unwise 16:10, 3 November 2005 (UTC)

Request for technical assistace

There is a problem with the table of member parties per country. It appears as Die Linkspartei is from France and as Izquierda Unida is from San Marino. Sorry, I couldnt fix the html codes to correct it. Hope someone will do it. Bertilvidet 20:21, 22 February 2006 (UTC)

Full name

Contrary to a unilateral pagemove, the organization's full name is "Party of the European Left". Note its manifesto, its official facebook page, the title of a conference website, this release from its chairman, and the preamble from its last electoral platform.

Indeed, that's obviously right. Lupus648 (talk) 14:06, 17 June 2009 (UTC)

Languages in Infobox

Does anyone know if it is possible to use some parameters from Template:Infobox European political party in this article? If one uses Template:Infobox political party, the names in different languages do not show up, but if one uses Template:Infobox European political party, the number of seats does not show up.Ezhao02 (talk) 12:49, 16 April 2018 (UTC)

Seems like this has already been fixed. Ezhao02 (talk) 01:25, 23 February 2020 (UTC)

Position as President of the European Left

On 15 December 2019 "At the sixth Congress of the European Left in Malaga under the motto: "Reset Europe - Go Left!" Heinz Bierbaum was elected with 66.7 percent as the new President of the European Left. He succeeds Gregor Gysi, who held the office since December 2016."
