This seems rather vague[edit]

Are we just not sure what a pas d'armes entails exactly? They seem like informal tournaments that take place typically on bridges but what else happens? Is it single combat? Is it on horseback or on foot? Does the venan have to fight only one tenan, or all of them one-by-one? Why did these occur?
