The Patents and Designs Act 1911[edit]

Have added country category to article, but is this article correct? Bangladesh would have been part of British India in 1911. Hugo999 (talk) 22:54, 1 September 2011 (UTC)[reply]

Bangladesh patent law[edit]

Shouldn't this page be renamed "Bangladesh patent law" Saltwolf (talk) 04:01, 20 April 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Obvious hoax[edit]

Bangladesh did not exist until 1971, so it is obviously impossible for its National Assembly to have passed an Act in 1911. DuncanHill (talk) 18:42, 5 March 2017 (UTC)[reply]

To me, the Act was carried over from British India to both India and Pakistan, and from Pakistan to Bangladesh. The year it was created was 1911, so this was carried over with the Act to keep the identification. The Assembly would have ratified a whole load of pre-existing laws en bloc at the start of BD in order not to have anarchy until the Assembly could pass new ones. Once established, they could make any necessary changes. There are mentions of this Act on Google, so I didn't think it counted as a blatant hoax, and declined speedy.
