Fab 50?
[edit]I don't think that its a prostegious award, and therefor shouldn't be in the section. Other players on the list, like Marc-Andre Fleury, Ladislav Smid, and Chris Thorburn, don't mention the award. If no one disaproves, then I will remove the award from the section in a week. Fair use rationale for Image:Patricko'sullivan.gif
[edit]Image:Patricko'sullivan.gif is being used on this article. I notice the image page specifies that the image is being used under fair use but there is no explanation or rationale as to why its use in this Wikipedia article constitutes fair use. In addition to the boilerplate fair use template, you must also write out on the image description page a specific explanation or rationale for why using this image in each article is consistent with fair use.
Please go to the image description page and edit it to include a fair use rationale. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to insure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.
If there is other fair use media, consider checking that you have specified the fair use rationale on the other images used on this page. Note that any fair use images lacking such an explanation can be deleted one week after being tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

Where he was born
[edit]According to NHL.com, HHOF, and the CBC, he was born in North Carolina, then moved to Toronto when he was young. None of them say he was born in Toronto. Kaiser matias (talk) 20:44, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- You're right. Found a better source. I'm going to ref the article to avoid future confusion.--Lvivske (talk) 20:50, 5 March 2009 (UTC)
- NHL.COM says birthplace is Toronto...--Lvivske (talk) 19:09, 19 March 2009 (UTC)
- According to the CBC documentary I saw today (from '04) he was born in NC, then they moved to Toronto years later. Keep in mind his mother is from Virgina and his father played on the Minor league hockey team Virginia Lancers (ACHL). They simply moved South. Pstrife (talk) 23:50, 27 June 2011 (UTC)
Carolina in infobox?
[edit]I don't know where I stand on this, and see the points for each side, but think it best for discussion. As I understand it, it wasn't exactly a three-way trade; I interpret it as a trade between the Kings and Hurricanes, followed by a trade between the Hurricanes and Oilers, followed by a trade between the Oilers and Sabres. The Kings weren't involved with the Oilers, so O'Sullivan had to have gone to them in some way, in this scenario via the Hurricanes.
Where does everybody else stand on this? 71.177.247.178 (talk) 07:04, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
- Since he never played a game for them, it shouldn't be up there. Otherwise, Minnesota would have to qualify - and to draw precedent on that, Quebec isn't listed as a pro team for Eric Lindros. Just because Carolina held his rights for a second doesn't mean it was one of his 'professional teams'.--Lvivske (talk) 07:37, 6 March 2009 (UTC)
Two things
[edit]First, as it is currently written, the article is contradictory in regards to where he's from. I know there's disagreement about where he was born, but having the opening paragraph and infobox identify him as American, his place of birth (and father's hometown) listed as Toronto without any explanation is just confusing. I'm not going to edit it since I don't have the facts, but someone who knows should clean it up and explain that he was either born in Toronto but raised in NC where his dad was playing for a few years, then moved back to Toronto, or born in NC then moved to Toronto. Most articles on American-born sons of Canadian players make that distinction, even if those sons identify themselves as American. Second, as the "Amateur" section of "Playing Career" is almost entirely about his family trouble, I'm thinking it would make a lot more sense to add a preceding "Early Life" section with all the family abuse stuff, and reduce the "Amateur" section down strictly to on-ice info. 24.79.89.131 (talk) 02:01, 5 September 2010 (UTC)

- Patrick O'Sullivan (ice hockey) → Patrick O'Sullivan
- Patrick O'Sullivan → Patrick O'Sullivan (disambiguation)
– The target title is occupied by a appropriate disambiguation page, however the ice hockey player appears to be far more notable than Patrick O'Sullivan (lawyer) and Patrick B. O'Sullivan.[1][2][3] Therefore it would seem more appropriate for the subject to be the WP:PRIMARYTOPIC. Tanbircdq (talk) 11:40, 26 October 2013 (UTC)
