Lobbyist?

[edit]

A lot of this article contains terms such as "Public Relations consultant" when in fact Paul Bristow was a prominent lobbyist as are his wife and sister-in-law. THe article should be amended to affect this change as it could mislead the reader into thinking Paul worked in public relations, rather than representing private interests to the government, civil service, and parliamentarians. 81.98.125.63 (talk) 07:04, 8 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Asked to step down over ceasefire

[edit]

Bristow has been asked to step down from his role in government over his letter calling for a ceasefire in Gaza. I've written a potential addition to this article, but I'm on mobile at the moment so formatting the reference properly is too much of a pain in the arse so I hope someone can add it properly. Here's what I've written.

On 30 October 2023, Bristow was asked to step down from his position as Parliamentary Private Secretary in the Department for Science, Innovation and Technology after writing a letter to Prime Minister Rishi Sunak, calling for a ceasefire in the 2023 Israel–Hamas war.[1]

Hope this is usable. IrishStephen (talk) 18:04, 30 October 2023 (UTC) IrishStephen (talk) 18:04, 30 October 2023 (UTC)[reply]
