I've expanded the article quite a bit. I tried to retain what I could from the original article. I did however remove or amend some of the information for which I could not find a reliable source to cite:
I removed the information about the professions held by his parents -- the reference cited was the website filmreference.com which doesn't exactly look like a reliable source as per Wikipedia's guidlines.
I removed the Emmy award cited in the infobox that used PFT's bio on thedailyshow.com as a reference. The reference actually states that he was only nominated for the award and I can find no evidence that he has ever won an Emmy.
I could not find a reliable source for PFT's full date of birth. The best I could find was IMDb, but there seems to be some debate as to whether or not that site is a reliable source for BLP's and although I have cited IMDb for his TV and film work, I'm thinking that there should be a better source if we are to post his full date of birth in his wiki article. I did however find this article from the New York Times dated October 14, 2008, which referred to him as being 40 years of age and this article from Reverb magazine (published by The Denver Post) dated May 25, 2011 where they refered to Tompkins as a "42-year-old Philly native", so I have replaced his full date of birth with "born c. 1968" and cited the New York Times article in the infobox using the "Birth based on age as of date" template.
The article also originally stated "Tompkins also had a small role in Anderson's Magnolia (1999) that was cut from the final film." While I have not watched the film myself, I did find references for Tompkin's involvement in the film and I could not find any information to support that he was not in the film. He is listed in the film's cast and crew list on IMDb. I did however note that he is credited as "Chad, Seduce & Destroy (voice)", and this article states "in Magnolia he was a voice", so I'm thinking that perhaps filmed footage of his character did exist, but in the final cut they only used audio of his voice...(?) In any event, I've removed the assertion that he was not in the film.
Why are you saying it so... Inaccurately? A quick IMDB search shows that September 12, 1968 is the date we're looking for... SwimFellow (talk) 02:13, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Please see the 3rd point in the section above. IMDb information is user generated, just like Wikipedia. There is no way to know if that DOB is accurate nor where that information came from. --Marchije•speak/peek 04:03, 10 August 2012 (UTC)[reply]
A simple Google search will result in a swarm of September 12, 1968 results, including Google itself confirming the birthdate. ~ThisNameIsNotProfane— Preceding unsigned comment added by 144.191.148.4 (talk) 19:52, 11 December 2012 (UTC)[reply]
