Once again, Second Language Vocabulary Acquisition by contains a contribution by Paul Nation, it isn't a third-party reference. - Mike Rosoft (talk) 05:29, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

I will try to get more content and independent sources. In any case, please USERFY in my user space if deletion is really wanted. I may recycle content for a coming Vocabulary acquisition article. Yug (talk) 10:56, 1 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]

Small fixes[edit]

"the approach taken in the book is that a balanced language course should consist of four major strands: learning from comprehensible meaning-focused input, language-focused learning, meaning-focused input, and fluency development. Next he points out the three major themes in the book: the cost/benefit concept based on the results of word frequency studies, the idea that learning a word is a cumulative process involving a range aspects of knowledge, and that teachers and learners should give careful consideration as to how vocabulary is learned"

Can we go through a grammar polish?[edit]

Hi all, I'd like to go through and tighten up the sentences a bit and polish up some of the grammar. Is that ok?

Shinallj : yes, go ahead, it's a wiki ;) Yug (talk) 11:48, 30 April 2019 (UTC) (slowest answer ever after 6 years !!!!!!!)[reply]
Has this 'grammar polish' been completed? I wouldn't mind making some corrections to the grammar in this article myself.JorgiaQ (talk) 22:41, 11 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Strange deletion of content[edit]

Hello there, I don't get this content deletion. Does anyone has a clue why the IP deleted this ??? Yug (talk) 21:10, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]

Same for this Yug (talk) 21:12, 21 December 2017 (UTC)[reply]
Ok, I eventually cancelled these non sourced deletions... Yug (talk) 11:47, 30 April 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Overall impressions[edit]

How can the article be improved? This article would benefit from adding more detail about research and key concepts introduced by Nation. Adding a description of Nation's academic career to provide more background information about the scholar himself would also be beneficial. Information could be organized better by adding subcategories when discussing a new topic i.e. Nation's keep concepts could be described in subcategories. Lastly, this article could use some polishing up of grammar usage and sentence structure. JorgiaQ (talk) 18:09, 14 September 2020 (UTC)[reply]
