Contested deletion[edit]

This page should not be speedy deleted as an unambiguous copyright infringement, because it is merely a LIST of the author's publications. It contains no annotations and thus cannot be a violation of anyone's copyright. Ipso facto, a list of an author's works will closely resemble other lists of the author's works on other platforms.

The content on this page was moved from the main Paul Theroux article, following the guidelines in the edit note. I would say the content at http://www.bookreporter.com/authors/paul-theroux/bibliography is in fact a copy of the original content from the main Paul Theroux article, not the other way around. --Sunwin1960 (talk) 09:53, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

I have removed the template: you are correct in contesting the speedy for this reason! Keep up the good work on the bibliography! See Wikipedia:WikiProject_Bibliographies for some guidelines on how to make it more than a list, Sadads (talk) 15:21, 2 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]
  • Quite correct. I would just add one note for future reference: If you do copy creative content from one article to another, our license requires an edit summary stating the source, for attribution of edits. Not an issue here, but I try to bring that up wherever I can! Thanks for your work! CrowCaw 22:09, 11 May 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Bibliography[edit]

Have restored the deleted short fiction section and continued reformatting using cite templates and tables for short stories, poems and/or book reviews. Capitalization and punctuation follow standard cataloguing rules in AACR2 and RDA, as much as Wikipedia templates allow it. ISBNs and other persistent identifiers, where available, are commented out, but still available for reference. This is a work in progress; feel free to continue.
