Re: high gasoline (12 mpg) consumption. Where did you get this information from? I had a Paykan with Iranian made engine and it run 100km on 10 litters in the city!

The article also seems to imply that till 1978 paykan was only assembled in Iran which is not true, Paykan was over 60% manufactured in Iran in late 1970s (98% by early 1990s). See http://www.rootes-chrysler.co.uk/paykan.html Kiumars

When I was in Iran, the Iranians I met did tell me that the Paykan does have a high gasoline consumption, but I have no references so... 213.132.129.27 01:11, 9 November 2007 (UTC)[reply]
