I deleted this paragraph: "Unlike many of his other songs, Stevens deems "Peace Train" still acceptable because it has a positive, moral message." Wikipedia is not the place for you to write song reviews or pass judgment on how "moral" or "positive" a given song's message is perceived to be. If you have a source stating that Cat Stevens actually said this, please cite it. Otherwise, don't include your personal opinion here. 66.17.118.207 14:09, 5 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I've reinstated it as it seemed a reasonable summary of Stevens's/Islam's attitude to the song in the context of his career, and added a supporting link. I read this sentence as concerning the author's perception of the 'message'. Editors make factual judgements about 'perceptions', but not potentially subjective ones about morals. Please WP:assume good faith. --Cedderstk 09:34, 21 September 2006 (UTC)[reply]

I'm adding that the song was part of the movie Remember the Titans - I think this is important iformation, however I think the article should be organized better. I agree that the personal information/perceptions should be removed unless they can be cited with a source (possibly from Stevens or a Muslim concerning the song).

I think mention should be made of the song's deletion from the tracklist of In My Tribe. All of Stevens' songs have been (further) politicized by his conversion. Merchant's reaction is an example of this. Asat 03:29, 1 June 2007 (UTC)[reply]
