Story about Tommy Shannon and Stevie Ray Vaughn

[edit]

Is the second paragraph of the lede--the one about Tommy Shannon listening to "Peaceful Easy Feeling" when he heard that Stevie Ray Vaughn had been killed in a helicopter accident--really necessary and properly placed? It's a poignant story, but doesn't really tell us anything about the song itself. If it's included in this article at all, it should be a last paragraph in the "Background" section, not the lede. Anyone have a different POV? --Schoolmann (talk) 20:18, 10 August 2018 (UTC)[reply]

ah shist...!

Lomg time local san diego musician..i can attest to the Der Wienerschnitzel in San Diego story. Even more, just a few yrs ago they? the city? actually placed a plaque there, at the Der to commemorate the location.. at Washington St and 1st. Just checked Map app, it's a freaking coffee/donut drive thru now.. the familiar A-frame is still there but, geez.. So sad. I'll drive over there soon and see if palque there or gone.. Ah, you guys, Wikipedia aren't you in san diego? go see -you know- it's in Hillcrest. 2600:1700:A760:C10:58CF:7ECE:5FBB:B2B9 (talk) 17:50, 6 July 2021 (UTC)[reply]
