Size[edit]
How large can this Bivalvia grow? 84.113.183.242 (talk) 05:20, 31 October 2014 (UTC)
- Good question! The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations gives the maximum shell size for this species as 17 cm in diameter.[1] This is not the largest scallop in the world, it is just the largest one that Linnaeus knew about in 1758. Info about the size can and should be added to the article. Invertzoo (talk) 17:09, 7 December 2014 (UTC)
