To Davidico: do not make from Lope de Barrientos an anti-semite he was not. When he pointed out converso origin of Mendoza and Ayala he had no intention to ridicule them but simply emphasized the great degree of converso assimilation into Spanish society. I am tired of ignorants who write rubbish in Wikipedia. Please do not cite a work about Mendoza family; no serious scholar accepts claims of authors of Spanish starting of 'Limpieza de Sangre' era because they tried to make Spanish aristocracy into "old Christians" of Visigoth descent. Contemporary Spanish genealogists still for some reason following this sad pattern. User: Tracadero.
