"Close friends" and Actors[edit]

David Niven had come from being an actor, returning to being an Army officer. He went back, not on, to being an actor. I know little of the others, this is a style comment.

Is the countess who was a close friend of King George 3rd the same sort of close friend as the lady who was a close friend of Queen Alexandra? Both are so described here. If we are talking about a King's mistress then lets talk about the King's mistress, and so on. Midgley (talk) 13:29, 21 October 2021 (UTC)[reply]
