Who does this act apply to[edit]

I know that a large number of people who work in Ontario and have work pension plans are not covered by this act - Bell Canada employees, for example (I think?).

From the act itself:

"3.This Act applies to every pension plan that is provided for persons employed in Ontario. R.S.O. 1990, c. P.8, s. 3.

Place of employment

4.(1)For the purposes of this Act, a person shall be deemed to be employed in the province in which the establishment of his or her employer is located and to which the person is required to report for work."

Expansion of article[edit]

As originally conceived, the article was too narrowly focused on Ontario. It was the first jurisdiction in Canada to regulate pensions, but it is more useful to have the article discuss what is happening in all jurisdictions on the matter, as there are many points that are in common.Raellerby (talk) 23:58, 11 December 2011 (UTC)[reply]
