Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on November 23, 2006.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ...that the habitat of the endangered Whiteray pygmy daisy (illustrated) has been reduced to a narrow strip only six miles long, due to urban development, off-road vehicles and destruction by road maintenance crew?
Current status: Good article

Captivity?[edit]

Is there any way to purchase seeds or plants and keep them as a houseplant? Maybe this way, we could bring the population back up and introduce it back into other wild areas. I really do not know too much about botany, so this is why I'm asking the Wikipedians. Thanks!

assessment[edit]

importance stems from endemic to a narrow range entirely within california and the fact that the plant is endangered, possibly critically. Anlace 02:09, 21 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

To do list[edit]

Article needs some work to reach GA, although it is close now.

  • NPOV: ok
  • Images: ok
  • Breadth: ok
  • Usability: ok
  • Sources: ok
  • Compelling prose:
    • "occurs" is used twice in the intro.
    • some terms too technical such as fusiform, need definition or link
    • should use italics for document names (see end of article)
    • needs a few more routine links and dabs (df "membranous) Architectsf 05:28, 26 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • all the above items have been addressed today. Anlace 03:29, 28 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]
  • Changes all seem to be responsive and the article currently meets GA criteria. Pass. Architectsf 15:31, 29 November 2006 (UTC)[reply]

This article has been reviewed as part of Wikipedia:WikiProject Good articles/Project quality task force in an effort to ensure all listed Good articles continue to meet the Good article criteria. In reviewing the article, I have found there are some issues that may need to be addressed, listed below. I will check back in seven days. If these issues are addressed, the article will remain listed as a Good article. Otherwise, it may be delisted (such a decision may be challenged through WP:GAR). If improved after it has been delisted, it may be nominated at WP:GAN. Feel free to drop a message on my talk page if you have any questions, and many thanks for all the hard work that has gone into this article thus far.

This article has following problems:

  1. Minimal references
  2. Dimensions should be given in both units with proper conversions

OhanaUnitedTalk page 16:17, 3 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]

  1. It's a shorter GA article. While the references are few, they're excellent ones in discipline of botany and what information the article does have is well-referenced.
  2. I fixed the ones I felt needed to utilized {{convert}}. The rest are small mm measurements and won't have any meaningful conversion in inches. --Rkitko (talk) 03:42, 18 July 2009 (UTC)[reply]
  1. Ok, article is kept as GA. OhanaUnitedTalk page 22:19, 2 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]
