Is it or is it not the first AF camera?[edit]

On this article, the Pentax ME F is said to be the first AF SLR camera, then just below this paragraph it says that Polaroid made the first AF SLR camera. I assume the mistake is that the Pentax ME F is the first AF SLR camera with interchangeable lenses, not just the first AF SLR. Can anyone clarify? Nabeel_co 18:15, 28 July 2007 (UTC)[reply]

First AF 35 mm SLR camera[edit]

I did not say that the Pentax ME F was the first AF SLR camera. I said that it "was the first autofocus (AF) 35 mm SLR camera." The ME F was the first AF SLR camera to use 35 mm film. The Polaroid SX-70 Sonar OneStep was the first AF SLR of any format. The distinction is subtle, but important. Paul1513 16:52, 7 August 2007 (UTC)[reply]
