So when is this ever going to restart construction???
[edit]Dubai's economy is back, no? So why isn't this tower going to restart construction?? can someone tell me when this tower will be completed? and is it even going to go up if construction doesn't restart? this is one of my favourite towers ever and I really hope it will go up. Jawadreventon (talk) 19:54, 15 April 2013 (UTC)
Its also one of mine favorite tower. As per latest updates that i have received few months back, there was a statement from the contractor of Pentominium, and he said that will soon resume the construction of the tower as soon as he gets investment / funds. The main issue here is he lacks funds to re-start construction. Well hope for the best, the tower has been on hold for almost 2 years, and the future is uncertain, maybe its height be reduced, as it has happened with Damac Heights, whose height has been reduced from 420 meters to 335 meters...

construction restart?
[edit]There have been some recent unsourced changes to this article, stating that construction is to restart and projecting completion dates of 2024 and 2026. I can find no sources to support this. Where is this coming from? Meters (talk) 23:59, 11 May 2021 (UTC)
- To be honest, I think it's something akin to praying. People thinking that if they just pretend hard enough that the tower is under construction, it will happen. You can see it in the articles for many abandoned megaprojects. Users insert entirely fictitious construction completion dates into the article, possibly in the hope that someone in the project may come across the information and restart construction out of a sense of obligation? Then when the date arrives and the construction site remains as abandoned as ever, they insert another entirely fictitious date three years down the line. The mindset appears to be "as long as we don't acknowledge it isn't canceled, it won't be canceled!" or something like that. All we can do is sigh, remove the false information and ask for better sources. Codraroll (talk) 16:33, 24 August 2021 (UTC)
