Merger[edit]

This article, prior to my edit made the glaring omission that the People's World site represents the merging of two newspapers, which were dailies in the party's early decades. "the direct descendant of the Daily Worker, the east coast Communist Party daily newspaper, which was founded in 1924, and the Communist Party's west coast daily newspaper, The Daily People's World." NPOV Paragraph[edit]

I have just removed the following paragraph from the "about" section:

People’s World continues to feature Marxist analysis and opinion developed by the Communist Party, USA as well as voices from other currents of the labor and people’s movements. For almost a century, People’s World and its predecessor publications have taken the side of the 99 percent and worked to promote the struggle for a sustainable environment, jobs, democracy, peace, and equality.

(Note: The citation used for this paragraph was http://www.peoplesworld.org/about-us)

On Wikipedia, it is not allowed for the subject of the article to describe itself using Wikipedia's own voice, as this paragraph does. I'm hesitant to slap a NPOV or other applicable template on this article, but if any other editors see issues of this nature (or others,) any help is welcome. - 2A02:810A:13BF:9584:E431:1EE3:CE8D:47ED (talk) 23:29, 17 November 2021 (UTC)[reply]
