Overhaul

[edit]

I changed a lot of this page - it was tagged as advertising with reasonable cause. I have now removed this tag.

I have some history with the Group - I was a member at both universities I attended, the University of York and the University of East Anglia. I also researched and developed the Go Green campaign for them in 2003.

I removed references to the anti-P&P group at Edinburgh for two reasons - 1) their website is defunct and 2) I consider this a rather minor local issue. I am not aware of any other organised and extant anti-P&P groups, if there are then the reference should be reinstated. I did not remove it for reasons of censorship!

If my editing has still left in an advertising-like state, I can only apologise. Parmesan 23:20, 23 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Good job parmesan, I was only unhappy with the first line so I've tweaked it a bit. Thom2002 11:52, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
I am informed that P&P is indeed the largest student group in the UK by direct membership - so this excludes the NUS and BUSA, members of which are members by virtue of being members of other bodies (SUs and Sports Associations/clubs), not in their own right. That's rather dubious, as one isn't really a 'member' of People & Planet, except at a local level. You can sign up to recieve updates, but thats not the same as membership at all. I fear it would be a little "weasel-wordy" to make the claim as stated. Thom2002 19:20, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
Ahhhh, alright. Accepted. Parmesan 22:50, 24 March 2007 (UTC)[reply]
