Title

[edit]

-- The actual title of this page should read "Persons of Indian origin Card" (see page with illustrative image), with the 's' in 'persons'. How is this to be corrected? No, the proper (official) name of the card seems to be Person of Indian Origin Card and that should probably be the name of this article. Anyway "Person of Indian Origin" now seems to have become the same thing as "Overseas Citizen of India" so the article also needs to be updated to reflect that change. Outdated

[edit]

This article needs updating following the Person of Indian Origin Card (PIO Card) Amendment Scheme, 2014. and the merger of the Person of Indian Origin (PIO) and the Overseas Citizen of India (OCI) categories (see: [1], [2], [3]). There still seems to be a lot of outdated information on the web - including on many official Indian Government websites. Any information or sources prior to January 2015 may now be outdated.
