Notability

[edit]

It's not clear to me that this book deserves an article at all, but it is fairly often advanced as proof by Shi'a. IF it has to be here, what more needs to be said about it? In what way is it a stub? -zora

Content of book

[edit]

Giving a summary of part of the content of the book as if it were the whole, and phrasing it as if Shi'a arguments were true, is both POV and a misrepresentation. I think the book is adequately paraphrased in the first section, and if any readers have further questions the whole text is online. Zora 04:42, 23 October 2006 (UTC)[reply]

COMPLETE SHIA PERSIAN FORGERY

[edit]

This article is right of this being a Persian Forgery. One big Mistake the Shias did was claiming that Peshawar ( a PASHTO SPEAKING city) Was speaking Persian loooooool in Peshawar Pashtuns speak STRICTLY PASHTO they dont even use Urdu there, so how they speak Farsi??? When i heard this book was published by an iranian guy. I mean it just cant get clearer than this, All the evidence of a Fictional Forgery story right in your face. LMAO i wanted to know what the hell that guy was thinking when he wrote this story. This is how low shias will go to actually TRY to prove they won there first argument for once in the history against a Sunni debate!!! Unbelievable looooool Pashtun786 (talk) 09:12, 15 February 2008 (UTC)Pashtun786[reply]

Historicaly, Peshawar was considered a far off place by Persians.. therefore, that was something that was fabricated as a success story by persians.. now the question arise what percent of local people become Shia?.. There is a very low percentage of shia population in peshawar and none of them can be attributed to this so called peshawar nights.. Has any pashtun tribe become shia because of it? not really, only three pashtun tribes in Pakistan have shia's (Turi 99%, Bangash 30-35% and Orakzai 10%), none of whom can be attributed to this incident... 182.180.61.170 (talk) 11:03, 10 September 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Well Pashtun-dog, Persian was the first language among Urdu in Pakistan...Persian have a history in Pakistan, Persian was promoted in Pakistan (think for example on Iqbal who was one of mio.)...Peshawar had a large Persian/Tajik community...on the other hand...Pakistan did not promoted Pashtu, Pakistan did not called Pashtu as a national language among Persian and Urdu.., in Pakistan Persian is the language of their country hymns and not Pashtu..so what are you saying now? Today, even today, Peshawar have a large Persian community who have their own schools like Madrasa e Khorasan, to mention one of them. Now go to SWAT and take care that the Americans do not abuse your family, slave-boy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.219.210.142 (talk) 02:10, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Peshawar has a large Ismaili population who are thrilingual and speak Persian as one of their traditional languages. Peshawar is supported by the Ismaili culture, as the creation of Pakistan. What will you do against it? har har har Now go to SWAT and take care that the Americans do not abuse your family, slave-boy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.219.210.142 (talk) 02:12, 8 August 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Section 'Book's coverage' and it's sub-sections

[edit]

I have worked out this section (and it sub-sections 'English Editions', 'Translations in other languages', 'Citations and mentions', etc.) and have been adding to them (& may be will continue to do so). The reason behind this is, that the "article was nominated for deletion" (the result was keep), giving the reason, "No independent, thorough coverage found in WP:BEFORE." These sections try to establish that the book is notable enough, that it has not only been reprinted several times in English by different publishers across the world but also has been translated to several languages and has not only been cited by books but is also used as teaching/reference material in academia and suggested as reading material by others. Anyone having any qualms about these (sub)-section(s) (or any forked ones from them in future) and the material there-in is free to discuss it here before any major edit on article just to avoid any edit-war or bruised egos due to undo/reverts.
