'5,4,3,2,1 - Thunderbirds are Go voice

[edit]

From article: providing the '5,4,3,2,1 - Thunderbirds are Go!' of the opening sequence.[citation needed]

Citation needed indeed. To me it sounds like it is Ray Barrett, voice of father Jeff Tracy, saying that opener. Asa01 01:14, 9 December 2006 (UTC)[reply]

Is it necessary to say that he provided the countdown, “without credit”? It’s done in his Jeff Tracy voice, so surely the implication is that it’s Jeff doing it. Were the countdown to have been done in a different accent or style, it might be possible to see it as a separate rôle, but as it stands I wouldn’t have thought it note-worthy. It might be that he doesn’t get credited when the opening is used elsewhere - on theme-tune records, etc. - which might be notable, but in context of the show its not like it is a lyric he’s singing. Looking for Mr. Dyneley's Son Who Provided Information

[edit]

I am positively delighted to see a new piece of information, sadly however regarding Mr. Dyneley's death being from cancer. I also see that it says it was provided by "son Richard."

I am a person who has spent a great deal of time searching for information on Mr. Dyneley, as he is honored on a website I helped create which is also referenced on his Wikipedia page. Right now the website is going through a massive overhaul, and the tribute to "Thunderbirds" voice actors pages are not yet converted to the new format.

I was hoping to be able to utilize this new information but wish to obtain permission from "Richard" who posted it. My friends and I dearly adored your father and the tribute to him that we built was amazing...but will be even moreso once the pages are re-launched. I would very much like to include this new information to round out the scant information I was able to find through my own investigations.

Sir, if you would be so kind as to contact me, you may do so via tbwriter03@rescueteam.com. It would be a very great honor.

Thank you. ~~C.L. Davis —Preceding unsigned comment added by TBwriter03 (talkcontribs) 04:17, 29 October 2010 (UTC)[reply]
