Nonsense in the article[edit]

"With another friend, he took a skiing trip to Kitzbuehel, Austria and faked his own death on Hahnenkamm, escaping on foot over the border into Switzerland which was neutral.[1]"

This is nonsense! Kitzbuehel and the Hahnenkamm are about 100km as the crow flies from Switzerland, and there is no way he could have escaped on foot! Escaping on foot appears to be an embellishment of this info which must be wrong and comes from the BBC article. Sloppy journalism at BBC cause wikipedia articles to talk geographical nonsense! 86.178.186.183 (talk) 17:27, 14 April 2011 (UTC)[reply]

I can't understand this criticism!!!! Honestly, if a naval captain and an ex-nun can cross the mountains on foot from Salzburg to Switzerland with seven kids on their shoulders, [1], then why not Peter Florjančič? Amandajm (talk) 04:20, 9 October 2011 (UTC)[reply]
Can I suggest that there may be truth in the "on foot". The trains were searched for people trying to escape over the borders. But it is possible that Florjančič travelled to a place near the border by train or some other transport, disembarked and then crossed the border on foot at a location remote from a transport route.
