Easy Rider commentary

I find the third to last paragraph of this article, where the editor interprets Easy Rider at length, to be in the nature of commentary and neither biographical nor encyclopedic. It is too specific to that film to be appropriate to this actor's biographical article, and belongs, in my opinion, in the talk page for Easy Rider. Swinterich 03:34, 12 September 2006 (UTC)

"committed suicide in 1950 when Peter was 11 years old" - it states he was born in 1940, so there's no way he could have been 11 by 1950. (clem 16:15, 19 Jun 2005 (UTC))

Where is that quote from? His birth year was corrected from 1939 to 1940 recently, after checking his autobiography and 1940 tabloids. I'm not sure how the 1939 date came up, but I doubt this is a case of age-fudging. --Fallout boy 07:52, 8 November 2005 (UTC)

Gram Parsons?

There are seven mentions of singer-songwriter Gram Parsons in this brief article. There were perhaps two mentions that I found in Fonda's autobiography, and I was looking for them. True or not, this is excessive for an encyclopedic article. I am skeptical of a previous editor's claim that Fonda chose Parsons, who had little or no acting experience, as the lead actor for Easy Rider, and "begged" Parsons to take the role of Captain America. Huh? What is the source for this? It's not Fonda's autobiography. Also, the "while it has never been uncommon..." language or comparisons between the shallowness of actors as opposed to rock musicians is POV. Who agrees? Disagrees? What the heck is this saying?

I found this in the final paragraph of the article, I have no idea what part of this is supposed to be saying. Hopefully, someone can clue me in.

Here is the paragraph I am referring to:

"He also lent his voice talent to the video game Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas as the hippie, The Truth. The Truth owns a jar of green goo, which gives him a lot of power; in his mind."

After thinking about this more, I am going to take it out. Even if that means something to someone I'm sure the average person reading the article would have no idea what "the jar of green goo" was referring to or how it had anything to do with this article.

Date of birth

Wikipedia stated that Peter Fonda was born in 1940. But Brockhaus + Encarta Encyclopaedia state that the year is 1939. Any other sources? --Werner Gladow (talk) 09:19, 6 February 2009 (UTC)

Creepy paedophile comments

Should Fonda's creepy paedophile/pro-child sexual abuse comments be under "politics", rather than having its own section dedicated to the controversy? I don't know of any political ideology (with the possible exception of anarchism) which thinks paedophilia is a good thing. Given the track record of Hollywood and sexual abuse and the fact that Fonda is a Hollywood actor, this could be more of a Hollywood "culture" thing than politics. Okay, for what it's worth, I'm going to remove your febrile shitstirring about this guy under WP:BLP. I consider the stuff you guys are adding in very questionable, particularly since you are trying to float the idea that Fonda is "pro-child sexual abuse". This is supposed to be the guy's biography, not a collection of the tittle tattle you have been enjoying on "True Pundit". Nobody forced Fonda to start ranting on a public platform about wanting to place children in cages with paedophiles, he decided to do that creepy stuff all by himself.... the fantasy came entirely from his own mind. And given that it is now being investigated as a criminal matter by the US Secret Service, it shouldn't just be put in a section regarding his opinions about oil spills and other politics issues. In the section "Twitter controversy", please shorten the sentence "The Secret Service opened an investigation based on a report from the Trump family occupying the White House." to read "The Secret Service opened an investigation based on a report from the Trump family." The longer verbiage is not found in the source given, and could be read as an attempt to sneer at Donald Trump as merely "occupying the White House" rather than being President. Typo/grammatical error

Page is semi-protected so I can't fix what appears to be a grammatical error. Under the career section in the following paragraph:

In 1966, Fonda was arrested in the Sunset Strip riot, which the police ended forcefully. The band Buffalo Springfield protested the department's handling of the incident in their song "For What It's Worth". Fonda sang some and in 1968 recorded "November Night", a 45-rpm single written by Gram Parsons for the Chisa label, backed with "Catch the Wind" by Donovan song, produced by Hugh Masekela.[16].

Hello I added a quote from the site Screen Comment, I site which I edit. The cite was unceremoniously removed by someone and I reject the explanation given for doing so. I would like this citation reinserted. First, I state my case:

(1) How do you distinguish between a "site" and a "blog." What is it that qualifies, in your view, Screen Comment, as as blog? Are blogs not allowed to contribute to Wikipedia? (2) You incorrectly state that anyone can publish to Screen Comment. While it is true that anyone can publish to a blog, if the blog has been set to do so, this is not the case for Screen Comment. Screen Comment, a movie review website in existence since 2007, is a traditional vertically-structured organization with the editor and founder, myself, and contributors who have been vetted and approved. They send their contributions to me, I edit them, and publish them.
