If anyone knows of or can take a suitable photograph of Jay, it would be much appreciated. Chiswick Chap (talk) 09:19, 3 March 2015 (UTC)[reply]

Can still not see any copyright-free image on the internet, but maybe one could be used under "fair use", as he has now died. Martinevans123 (talk) 10:49, 24 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

Byron connection

[edit]

Is it one of Peter's sons who just discovered Byron's presentation copy of Frankenstein in Lord Jay's library? --Orange Mike | Talk 15:16, 29 June 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Seems it may have been. But Douglas Jay had three other children, so Sammy maybe the son of one of them? Martinevans123 (talk) 15:28, 25 September 2024 (UTC)[reply]

7 children?

[edit]

Who are the mothers? Rustygecko (talk) 04:26, 19 August 2021 (UTC)[reply]

@Rustygecko: an article in The Observer confirms that he has seven children.[1] Our article on his first wife Margaret Jay, Baroness Jay of Paddington says that she has three children, and the source it cites[2] says that Peter Jay was their father. IMDb indicates three children from each of his two marriages, but this is not a reliable source for Wikipedia. Verbcatcher (talk) 22:44, 12 September 2021 (UTC)[reply]
Margaret Jay's Wiki page states "Peter Jay then had an affair with their nanny, fathering a child in the process (he originally denied paternity)." 82.6.174.106 (talk) 14:44, 20 July 2023 (UTC)[reply]
