Kosler vs. Kozler

[edit]

This guy Kosler was an ethnic German and had a German name, which he never changed to comply with Slovene pronunciation.. So if Slovenians in their literature change a historic person's name wilfully and adapt his name to their way of spelling certain sounds, that is of course their own business. But in a foreign-language encyclopedia the actual form ought to be given throughout the text. You may feel enormously generous by mentioning the correct name in a by-line anyway, but insisting on that is rather childish nationalist behaviour and is just not done. POV. Sorry too, but do you have any reference about/for true name? Image:Zemljovid Slovenske dezele in pokrajin.png states: IZDELAL PETER KOZLER. --AndrejJ (talk) 10:34, 13 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
Please, don't offend. It seems to me that someone else behaves as a childish nationalist here. Kozler is an alternative spelling for Kosler, following a tradition of denomination. Just as Preschern is an alternative spelling for Prešeren. Viator slovenicus (talk) 20:02, 14 July 2008 (UTC)[reply]
