Deletion proposal

[edit]

I also think this should be deleted. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 76.116.220.60 (talk) 14:17, 10 September 2008 (UTC) Delete! —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.243.37 (talk) 00:06, 8 March 2008 (UTC) I say delete, far more prominent academics who should have a page compared to this guy. —Preceding unsigned comment added by 131.111.243.37 (talk) 22:55, 23 February 2008 (UTC) This article has been nominated for deletion citing lack of notability. Please note the addition of the citation from Science Careers, http://sciencecareers.sciencemag.org/career_development/previous_issues/articles/2006_02_17/profile_peter_lu[reply]

This may qualify Lu for notability. —Preceding unsigned comment added by Alindsey (talkcontribs) 22:33, 17 September 2007 (UTC)[reply]

Peter Lu created this page I believe. I don't feel he is notable enough to have a page either. Some interesting discoveries, yes but I've seen more notable academics deleted —Preceding unsigned comment added by 78.146.196.140 (talk) 13:03, 6 February 2008 (UTC) Lu created this page, I think, whilst promising, he shouldn not be prominent enough for a page as of yet —Preceding unsigned comment added by 128.253.212.114 (talk) 03:00, 6 August 2008 (UTC)[reply]

I really think this page should be deleted. It was clearly created by Peter Lu. Everybody has some vague claim to fame; does that mean that everyone should have a wikipedia entry? Delete! 131.111.243.37 (talk) 02:09, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I created this article, and I am not Peter Lu. JRSpriggs (talk) 18:32, 26 February 2009 (UTC)[reply]

I also edit this page and am not Lu. If Lu was in charge of this page, it would probably contain more up to date information (newer publications are not listed). The editing history furthermore does not show that Lu has ever edited this page and other users (see above) have identified themselves as the editors/founders (including myself). The page should stay at wikipedia. 18.80.7.73 (talk) 00:05, 1 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]

Anyone who want to express his opinion on the question of whether this article should be deleted should do so at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Peter Lu (where it matters) rather than just here. JRSpriggs (talk) 17:33, 1 March 2009 (UTC) The bad news is that it is too late to make any more comments. The good news is that it was decided to keep this article as indicated by the template at the top of this page. JRSpriggs (talk) 10:14, 3 March 2009 (UTC)[reply]
