Paedophile ring cover-up suspected

[edit]

Should include this link as its going to be in the papers all week ...http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2224167/Former-Minister-says-Thatcher-aide-paedophile-preyed-boys-home--Hague-known.html 80.42.233.70 (talk) 01:16, 28 October 2012 (UTC)jinglejanglejewellery80.42.233.70 (talk) 01:16, 28 October 2012 (UTC)[reply]

It comes to pass

[edit]

These rumours of child abuse have been doing the rounds in Chester for years. But now he's dead and there is momentum, people feel more happy to air them in public. Nevertheless what this article needs is:

  1. why was Morrison allowed to host "pyjama parties" for the choir boys from Chester Cathedral at his big house in Mollington?
  2. what was his link to Dutton, the child sex abuser who had the art shop in Frodsham St?
  3. when Dutton was arrested, why was his bail posted by a notable member of Chester's business community?
  4. what help did Morrison get from "Chester's establishment", i.e. his cronies on Nicholas Street, in covering his tracks?

If this article is going to be serious, let's hope these tangibles are finally uncovered.109.150.46.188 (talk) 16:30, 3 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]

Wikipedia is not a place for speculation and rumour. If there is a reliable source, then yes, we should include this sort of thing. But otherwise we should remain silent. Bazonka (talk) 22:19, 6 November 2012 (UTC)[reply]
Seems the local rag had heard about the stuff Morrison was accused of doing but apparently they did not publish it Newspapers covered-up alleged abuse by MP, child sex inquiry told According to its editor Mike Green, he makes a weak argument his rag didn't have any conclusive proof only rumours - I guess that paper had never heard of investigative reporting? Editor admits weekly knew of MP child sex claims – but could never prove them. 146.200.202.126 (talk) 13:48, 27 July 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Handbag

[edit]

Whether or not he abused boys, Morrison's homosexuality was well known at Westminster. A well-known gag at his expense was that Thatcher had appointed a PPS who could carry a handbag as well as her. Worth adding if somebody comes across it quoted in a book.Paulturtle (talk) 04:57, 11 February 2018 (UTC)[reply]

This makes no sense at all. --OhNoPeedyPeebles (talk) 23:28, 17 August 2019 (UTC)[reply]

Predecessor as PPS

[edit]

Despite what it says in the infobox I do not think his predecessor as Mrs Thatcher's PPS was Archie Hamilton, as Hamilton left that office in 1988 and Morrison was not appointed until 1990. Dunarc (talk) 23:59, 22 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

I have done some further research and Mark Lennox-Boyd was PPS for Mrs Thatcher between Hamilton and Morrison and so have amended this article accordingly. Dunarc (talk) 21:52, 23 March 2020 (UTC)[reply]

Elm Guest House

[edit]

I am not sure the Elm Guest House paragraph is still notable given that the numerous claims about MPs there seem on later investigation to have been false. 2A00:23C6:148A:9B01:5C14:9DFF:FE73:96CC (talk) 23:59, 1 February 2023 (UTC)[reply]
