[edit]This page should not be speedily deleted. I wrote the following on my talk page. (It's not clear where the correct location is for this conversation.)
Hi, Deunanknute. Thanks for taking your time to make sure Wikipedia remains high quality. This article is my first, so I'm still learning how to navigate the norms of Wikipedia. I apologize if it looked like a test page of some sort. It most certainly is not a test page. I created this page for a highly recognized colleague, Peter Stone. Some of his peers, with similar notability, already have Wikipedia pages, including Michael Littman and Richard S. Sutton. The IJCAI Computers and Thought Award that Peter received is arguably the highest award someone can receive in the field of artificial intelligence.
Instead of deleting this page, I ask that you instead guide me on what exactly is needed for it to qualify as an acceptable page. From my perspective as a researcher in AI, his notability is clear from the honors he's received. To meet the standards of the Wikipedia community, perhaps I need to explicitly explain the prestige of the IJCAI Computers and Thought Award and of anything else that particularly stands out.
I was unable to find anything that met the requirements of WP:NACADEMICS. The awards he has earned do not seem to fit "2. The person has received a highly prestigious academic award or honor at a national or international level.", and I was unable to find significant coverage of him to indicate notability. But, I am not an expert on the subject. Hopefully someone who is could weigh in. Deunanknute (talk) 14:46, 22 January 2015 (UTC)
