Did You Know
A fact from this article appeared on Wikipedia's Main Page in the "Did you know?" column on January 9, 2014.
The text of the entry was: Did you know ... that indie games designer Phil Fish (pictured) said in a scene of Indie Game: The Movie that he would kill himself if he didn't release his game, which later sold a million copies?
Current status: Good article

no mention on his controversies?

[edit]

theres zero mention of him stealing code from people without crediting them such as Chloe Sagal who came out in an interview exposing him [1]https://web.archive.org/web/20150723031809/https://techraptor.net/content/relationships-indie-gaming-interview-allistair-pinsof-part-2

or when he basically lashed out at letsplayers demanding that they give HIM most of the adrevenue from them streaming a letsplay of his game? TechRaptor is not a reliable source. If you have a reliable source that discusses your first claim, we can discuss.
For your second claim, it's unclear what you would want to add to the article. He said something controversial on Twitter and the article already covers that this is something he did repeatedly. What exactly is there to add about this incident? czar 22:59, 30 September 2022 (UTC)[reply]

Does the page need silverlock anymore?

[edit]

I can understand while during Gamergate (harassment campaign) this page needed editing protection, does it need WP:SILVERLOCK anymore?

I get the sense that in 2023 Fish's profile has moved sufficiently away from the spotlight that the vandalism risk to this page is now low. Specifically, low enough that WP:WHITELOCK or even no protection at all is more appropriate than the current silverlock. Neuroxic (talk) 22:38, 14 August 2023 (UTC)[reply]

After three weeks without I reply, I contacted the protecting admin, who has now unprotected the page. Let's plan to reprotect the page again if regular vandalism incidents occur in the following months. Neuroxic (talk) 04:06, 5 September 2023 (UTC)[reply]
