List of songs[edit]

The list of songs Philippe Tatartcheff wrote with the McGarrigle sisters is very misleading with numerous date errors. For example, Complainte pour Ste-Catherine was written and first recorded in 1974, as the flip side to Anna McGarrigle's 45 Hommage a Henri Richard (PAC4411), and that was discussed earlier in the article.

Assuming that songs were written when recordings were released (particularly in the UK) is asking for trouble. There was often a long gap between songs being written and finally recorded, with live performances debuting many songs.

I suggest removing the list entirely, since it adds very little to what had already been written. StephenJPC (talk) 17:38, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]

Dear StephenJPC,
You made a very good point, and I have now removed all the dates. Personally, I'd still like to keep the list, as it demonstrates Tatartcheff's not insignificant contribution to the sisters' recordings. Also, there is so little information available about him, that the article would be somewhat bare without the list. But that's only my penny's worth; please feel free to delete it if that is your preference.
With kind regards;
Patrick. ツ Pdebee.(talk)(guestbook) 19:32, 14 November 2018 (UTC)[reply]
