Status on using this spider's venom for erectile dysfunction?
[edit]Around 10 years ago, there were articles like this, talking about using this spider's venom as a remedy for erectile dysfunction, with a completely different mechanism than Viagra et al. Any news on the status of this research?

Units in "Toxicity and Prey" section
[edit]Why does one source give the low LD50 dose in milligrams at a higher value than the median LD50, which is given in micrograms? I suspect that it's something to do with preparation (another quote from the same book referenced for the low LD50 figure talks about 1.5 glands - presumably venom glands - being around 0.2mg) but as I don't have the book, and it isn't freely available on Google Books, I cannot check. However, with figures that are an order of magnitude different, this is incredibly confusing, especially as the low dose is 1000 times larger than the median. This really needs to be clarified and explained by someone who has access to these sources to explain the apparent discrepancy. AndyRatchick (talk) 11:55, 25 May 2023 (UTC)
